Controlled Development Priorities

  1. 1

Advocate for controlled, planned, and innovative development

RKRA supports development that is orderly, lawful, and aligned with the long-term interests of the Redhill/Kentmere community.

  2. 2

Protect the low-density residential character of the area

The plan identifies low-density residential dwellings and protection from concrete jungles as important priorities for the area.

  3. 3

Balance public, private, environmental, and community interests

Development should balance environmental protection, public interest, private property interests, and the greater good of the community.

  4. 4

    Prevent unplanned and uncontrolled growth

RKRA identifies unplanned growth, uncontrolled urbanization, low-cost housing, slums, and mega housing estates as risks to the area.

  5. 5

Promote compliance with laws and regulations

RKRA aims to lobby County Government, National Government, the private sector, and development agencies for enforcement of applicable laws and regulations.

  6. 6

Represent RKRA interests in development decisions

RKRA seeks participation and representation in decision-making structures affecting planning, zoning, development, and public resources.

  7. 7

Educate residents on the value of planned development

RKRA intends to use community structures, including family and neighbourhood clusters, to promote understanding and support for controlled and organized development.
